Hemophilia Treatment Centers are devoted to supporting research that improves bleeding and clotting disorder treatments, prevent complications, improve access to needed therapies, and reduce costs of care for children and adults with bleeding and clotting disorders. In addition to helping guide the future of treatment, these studies are instrumental in supporting the cost of maintaining the HTC clinics and staff.
HTCs participate in national and international multi-center studies sponsored by the such groups as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Research Society.
